Special Note: Due to the CORVID 19 pandemic many nature centers may be closed. Many public parks remain open. You can still visit the outdoors and see birds. Please practice safe-distancing, and please always remember that birds are sensitive to human presence. Please follow rules of sensitivity including keeping your pets on a leash, or at home while you are birdwatching. Photographers are urged to follow ethics guidelines that include being non-intrusive and non-threatening to birds and other wildlife. Please, do not chase birds.
One of the Great things about the Niagara River Corridor and it's vast watershed is that there are lots of birds year round, and lots of places to see birds. While our celebration is designed specifically to celebrate the vast populations of wintering waterfowl, gulls, Snowy Owls, and the frequent irruptions of northern species, we have an abundance of bird life in every season. Migrating shorebirds, hawks and raptors, neotropical songbirds, and a gamut of nesting and breeding birds can be found here.
